My review (lazily copied from my Facebook), guaranteed 100% spoiler free for your pleasure:
This may seriously be Pixars best movie, which is saying a lot, considering the amazing quality of all of their works. Once again bucking the usual trend of American animated features, director Pete Docter and crew refuse to dumb things down for kids, focusing instead on telling a great story that can be enjoyed by all.
This movie pulls out all the stops. We have endearing characters (the humans, for example, feel far more human than most characters in live action movies, and the dogs are probably the best movie dogs ever). In the midst of its very fantastical concept, the story effortlessly runs the gamut between drama, action and, most of all, humor (I dont mind admitting that it brought tears to my eyes more than once, and only some of those times were because I was laughing so hard).
In Roger Ebert's review, he compared this movie in some ways to the works of Japanese animation master Hayao Miyazaki. I couldn't agree more, and that's perhaps the highest compliment this film can be paid.
This is one I simply must see again in theaters (and I hope my next viewing is in 2D, because the whole 3D thing just doesnt add that much to the experience for me). And Im sure Ill be seeing it a few hundred more times after that over the next few years.
Dont miss this one, people!
No doubt I'll be doing some sort of fan art soon...and if you've seen it, what did you think?!

"People think they know me, but they don't. Not really. Actually, I am one of the loneliest people on this earth. I cry sometimes, because it hurts. It does. To be honest, I guess you could say that it hurts to be me."
